  Class Ratings recent results

 

Most days Class rated runners win races at great odds, often these are types on the up with improving fitness, or have just  been racing without luck in recent tries.  If your patient and lucky there are times when  you can find Class runners, in form, at peak fitness, and at long shot odds.

Here we have listed some of the Class rated winners at odds over a typical Month, as examples of the types of  horses to back when looking for value odds.

All odds displayed are from IASBET, make sure you obtain the best odds which lets you bet twice as long, or doubles your profits. 

 

19th Mar Art Piece $21. Last start 2nd up from a spell this lightly raced filly 3yo race 4 and 5 deep without cover but still managed an outstanding win. She come into this race approaching peak fitness and in form. . Other class winner Matchless $11

14th Mar Grand Destiny  $17  Three times a previous melbourne metro winner, Grand destiny put in a good run first up winding up 5 wide around the home turn & getting home strongly for fourth. Today he again came from the rear but sizzled over the last 200m winning in good fashion.. Largo Lad 11, Fielding Drive 11

12th Mar Montserrat $44  Rated a Class Runner on the basis of 2 good wins at Moonee Valley and Randwick. back to Rockhamption today and drew a good gate in 2, got out fast easily  leading from wire to wire, pulling right away from the short priced  favorite over the last 200m. keltrice $16

10th Mar Melete $23 Had good form until last start when caught 3 wide without cover at Moonee Valley. Today down in class back at  Warrnambool, where he went close to winning just 3 starts back,  he was ridden a treat by Mick Mehmet saving ground all the way to the post. . Left for Dead $11.

9th Mar Lions and Dragons $41 First up found the 1000m far to short, after missing the start and trailing the field for most of the race. Today over the more suitable 1350m, he jumped cleanly on the pace and held tough for a narrow win. Typical Class winner with improving fitness at nice odds. Cane Champagne $27 . A last start winner after pulling wide into the straight and racing away over the last 200m, today the handicapper give him an extra 2kg indicating a similar class race. Once again he settled towards the rear, and was still back in the field turning for home, but given some space out wide, he had zoomed to the front by the 200m, running out an easy winner. Top rated class runner in form, No Brainer at good odds. Other  winners included Tamoroa $11 Endeavouring $24 Serious Heat $15

*****8th Mar Shwedagon $72 , The top rated Class runner, with good form up until last start where he raced without a lot of luck start. Easy bet at massive odds, other winners included Ocky Vella $18, Ttristamber $21, Sarlet $12, Bochica Baby $38, Eddie Rapido $12

7th Mar Eye of The Crown $40, Drumshanbo $14, First Tradition $16, Writ $31 ,Solo Flyer $15

6th Mar Modik $11  Good close up form before disappointing  last two starts when racing wide. Today given a nice runt throughout and finished too strongly.

5th Mar Hula Rock $11. A winner of 3 races on good provincial tracks from only 12 starts, Hula Rock came into this race with some close up form, but he had been getting back in his races, and although he was consistently getting home hard he was finding the 1000m just a shade short. Today over the 1100m at  the more suitable Ballarat course (only 1 small turn), he settled just off the pace, came wide around the turn, under a good hold, but slipped on the sloppy track colliding with a horse on his outside, tipping of his jockey. This pushed Hula Rock  back inside horses, but he managed to quickly pick up his stride between runners and get home a clear winner. Hula rock is certainly one to watch...........

4th Mar Unsupervised  $19. Needed some inspiration to back this one, but  a Class Rated runner in a low quality field. Dont Mookta $13

3rd Mar Pick the Tribe $27. A Class runner in form & at peak fitness. Last start he just went under in a photo over 1000m.  Today over the more suitable trip of 1200m, despite being last and wide on the turn, he let loose to take the prize.

2nd Mar Voler Vrai $17. A lightly raced Filly with only 6 career starts, she rated a Class runner on the back of a placing at Randwick,. Last start 2nd up from a spell she failed after being caught 3 deep without cover. Today with the benefit of race fitness, she finished the race off in fine style out wide. Other Class winners included Kiwi Thunder $14 and Go Guest $16.

****1st Mar Thumb Prints $71. A previous Canterbury winner from only 12 starts, Thumb Prints came into this Balaklava race rated 6 lengths superior by class. Last start, in his first run for almost 2 Months, he was caught 3 and 4 wide without cover throughout, and as expected failed to find much in the later stages. With the run under his belt , he was a "No Brainer" bet today and duly got the prize paying a whopping $71. Other Class winners Sermon $20, Quadruple $17, Honour Ron $12

28th Feb Headway $22. 2yo Filly with 2 good previous starts, and a last start Sandown winner. Class runner in form, with improving fitness, nice collect.

27th Feb So Shall This $15. Lightly raced, but with 5 close up finishes from only 6 starts, So Shall This rated 10 lengths  in front of a comparatively weak lot. Coming off a spell, he had won a nice trial , then failed first up, but had since again trialed,  finishing within a length of the winner. Today he had the field off the bit along way from home, and showed plenty off zip when straightening, getting to the line a comfortable 1.5L winner, and paying $15. Others Worth Doing $15, Road To Dundee $12, Ozolins $13.

26th Feb Kings Tribute $22. A strong winner on this track two starts back, when peeling widest on the turn before steaming home, and getting within a length of the winner last start. This lightly race 4yo came into this race fit and in form. Again he settled back in the field and pulled widest heading for home, where he quickly found his stride and the winning post.  Another case of a Class runner in form and taking the prize at odds.

24th Feb Saratoga $25. This metropolitan winner was approaching peak fitness with 3 runs from a spell, last start she peeled up to 8 deep around the turn and made steady ground losing by less than 4 lengths, today at Kyneton she let go with a wet sail ,hitting the line a comfortable winner. Only 2 meetings today, but The Joker was another good winner at $11.

23rd Feb.  Anadite $42.  A Class runner running into peak fitness with winning form this time in.  As experienced Class punters know, it certainly pays to watch Class runners with close-up form on the improve, at odds.  Other winners included Lady Ashron $12,  Two poppies $15, Cane Champagne $13

22nd  Feb. Facts And Figures $36 .  Lightly raced promising 4yo who rated a clear top pick. Failed first up, but today settled just off the pace, and found plenty on straightening, running out a comfortable winner. Other Class winners included Galileo's World $21, Moorings Mate $13,  Pop Legend $12, Rapid Rhythm $33.

21st  Feb. Swiss Ace $41.  Previous winner of 3 Stakes races, Swiss Ace came in as the top rated Class runner in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate, first up from a spell he had put in a nice effort just 2.5L from the winner, today with a run under the belt, he held strong after making the pace to score a narrow, but impressive win. Class punters took the Group 1 race double with Reward For Effort taking out the Blue Diamond at $22.Other Class winners included Pearler $15, Grungle $16, Wings of Seraph $12.
